How do you polish Turquoise jewelry?

I purchased a turquoise necklace from an antique store. It is Native American style with carved animals out of turquoise. I need to clean and polish it but I'm not sure what to use so as to not harm the stone.

so thanks to all of you...but i'm really upset i don't own converse...so do you think uggs or sneakers because those are the only two i have (no flip flops because of the tights) and my sneakers are gray and pink..so not much excitment there

and also i just got legwamers from my friend(shes letting me borrow them)

and no makeup because its spirit for swimming and we have to go to the meet right after and i don't wanna spend all that time taking it off

Antique costume jewelry?

My mother gave me a beautiful necklace and earring set she bought from an estate sale in Avon, Ohio back in the early 80's.

It is squash blossom design and has faux turquoise stones, I believe the chain is silver plated. It is marked (tag on necklace), Emmons, this mark is on both of the earrings. On the other side of mark on necklace has a design - at first I though it was an eye, but with magnifing glass I believe it is a circled E with a crown on top.

The research I have done says Emmons added a trademark after 1955, mine doesn't have this trademark. Found a few Emmons catalogs online and found some pieces sorta like mine around in the 70's.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Not interested in selling, just would like to know what year this was produced.

I'm gonna fly to India for a week with a sole purpose of buying wholesale fashion / costume / imitation jewelry - bone, turquoise, resin bracelets, necklaces.... As I don't have much time I would like to know where should I go? is it easier to find producers in Dehli? or Mumbai? Are the prices and variety better in the villages of Rajasthan? or should I concentrate on markets in Jaipur? btw are there such things as wholesale markets in Jaipur?
