Question: What do you think of hair jewelry (tiaras, combs, etc.)? Cheesy or pretty?
( Back )
Answer #1:
cheesy!!!!!!!!Answer #2:
I think they can be really pretty and effective if used the right way and for special occassions (ie I wouldn't wear a tiara just for the sake of it - it would have to be for a wedding or birthday or something special)Answer #3:
Uh. In a wedding, slightly cheesy, but in an acceptable way. I think more acceptable if its a small tiara with a veil attached. Everyday wear, very cheesy, and a bit creepy as well, haha.Answer #4:
If it's a regular school day, freaky. Well, sometimes I like to dress up weird for no occasion, probably only like twice every year. More or equal to once a week? Weird. Also, wearing them to dances and stuff? Cheesy.Answer #5:
I would have to say I hate it. I prefer to keep my hair down, within good reason.Do you know how long it took to get all 219 bobbypins out of my hair?
Answer #6:
Depends. There are some really beautiful ones. If your really interested in having one i'd look around for a good quality one!Answer #7:
These days you can wear anything you like - we are so lucky that we are spoilt for choice! There really is no right or wrong...EXCEPT....only wear things you fall in love with. You look good in things you feel good in. If you have tried on a tiara thinking it was for you, and you look at it and think..."no"...thats all you need to worry about.
Likewise, if you put one on and it was truly your crowning glory...go for it!
There IS some stuff that looks tacky and cheap but there is also a lot out there that truly creates a beautiful look and provides a finishing touch that really does make you feel like a princess for a day.
Try things on...look around and you will find options that you might not have considered. Brides usually have something in their hair - if not a veil, so no, honey....nothing cheesy about looking beautiful on your big day!
Hugs

Answer #8:
As this is in the weddings category, I'm assuming it's for a wedding? If so, tiaras are a bit over the top, very pretentious. Combs and beaded bands are very pretty with up-do's and viels. Then again, it all depends on the dress, locale, etc. As long as you stay away from tiaras I think you'll be fine :). Good luck!!Answer #9:
I think hair accessories are pretty as long as they are age-appropriate and not gaudy. I have medium length hair and I like to pull mine back in barettes and combs. When I was younger (I am over 40 now) and had longer hair I would wear fake or real flowers in my hair and and little butterfly or flower clips. I still like to pull it back in a funky clip on one side. I don't think a tiara is not really right for anyone unless you are playing dress-up as a child or you are homecoming queen.Answer #10:
depends on one own taste in reality, but also the style of it.I think some thing small and simple it prettier than having a huge tiaras. Thats what i'm going for for my wedding.
Nice and simple, you cant go wrong
Answer #11:
It really depends on the type of wedding you're having, but in general they add a very special touch to your hair. And wear your hair up.Answer #12:
It all depends on what you are wearing, will the tiara or comb accent your look? Remember..."This is YOUR day", no one elses! If you want to wear something don't let anyone influence your decision. I was at a wedding where the bride & groom wore matching Harley Davison motorcycle outfits! for them it was what they wanted to do! Be yourself, and have a great time what ever you choose!Answer #13:
I find tiaras cheesy, combs are alright. I don't mind hair pins thought, maybe because they don't stand out too much?Bottom line is that the hair accessories should compliment the hair style and attire or it can ruin the over all image.
Answer #14:
Pretty, but it depends on the type and amount, doesn't it? I think tiaras are FUN. When else can you pretend to be a princess?Answer #15:
pretty if they are not too ornate. somehting small and sparkly should do. or flowers are lovely!Answer #16:
This really depends upon the style of the wedding dress, and if the bride is wearing a veil. For example, I never in a million years would have predicted I would have ever worn a small tiara with a veil, but when I found the wedding gown I loved, the one the saleslady brought over just for me to try on - ended up being absolutely perfect. It was a small, low tiara, nothing princessy, but just added that bit of sparkle which complemented embellishments on the gown.
