Question #1:

As a Guy, what's the best way to start back up after the Marriage has ended?

Within a month I will be divorced, and I think I have handled the separation up to this point very well. I waived bye to my estranged wife without a single negative word.

This is what I am doing right now:
1. Mingling with people again. Just for fun. Trying to get social again.
2. I have removed all our photos from our home. Left the kids, but she is gone from the walls.
3. Getting my personal business all wrapped up, credit cards wiped out, and names removed from accounts.
4. Selling off all non-essential items to simplify my life.
5. Setting aside days and times just to be my kid's time. That has taken some adjusting to get right.
6. Got a Gym membership.
7. Getting involved with corporate volunteering events.

Just incase I missed something, what other things should be good to think about doing waiting for the true up on court day when the divorce is final? I am a little old fashion, so I don't want to be romantic until the divorce is final. But a day after I could be dangerous, being months, nearly a year since getting any serious bedroom romance.

my face is made for that kind of modeling it cant be commercial or anything for sure, i have the height its just im skinny/curvy im a B cup and i think my measurements are 34- 25-35 but i feel like no matter how skinny i get ill always keep that hourglass kind of figure can i be one with a body like this?

I mean, there is the fashion now for meeting your soul mate, the only one in the world for you, and marrying that person. But what do you do if ' the one ' don't want you know more and divorces you, or you go off the one you thought was ' the one '. Do you just pop out and get ' another one ' ? I mean , do people see the irony of this ?
Well, Christie, what I mean is if you can replace ' the one ' then there never was a ' one ' because you are at least then up to two !!

I wonder what American men think about women in Brazil, because I always heard that the Brazilians suffer prejudice in the United States, say they are called prostitutes, that Americans come to Brazil looking for easy sex, and not quite. Also I wonder about something else: They say that fashion is to have the American big breasts, but here in Brazil the domestic preference is the butt. I mean qe American men prefer large breasts and butt small?

How do I help get my boyfriend's daughter to sleep in her own bed?

I live with my boyfriend, who has primary custody of his 4 year old daughter, and where we live it is culturally acceptable to have children sleeping in the bed with the parents up to a late age.

Unfortunately, her mom lives in a city 600 miles away, and she has just returned to us after spending the summer with her, and she is having issues with going to bed now in her own room.

Behaviorlly, she is very good child and usually never requires reprimand. But her bouncing around between her mom, and her father and I has not helped with the discipline to get her to stay there.
I, myself, never grew up in this fashion, and I am having a hard time understanding any rationalle behind why this should be acceptable.

Please, without judgement, does anyone out there have any advice on how I can bring this subject up with my boyfriend and any pointers to help her adjust to wanting to sleep in her own room?
She spends 75% of the year with US, and I understand that she is a little confused. I know she is going through a lot. My BF and I are very big into what is best for her, as well as her mom. She may not be around 24/7, but she still is a big part of her life and all 3 of us ar on board as far as how we are raising her.

I am not trying to be cold here. But as someone who never gre up like this, to me it is pretty unacceptable. I love to snuggle and hold and cuddle her.

I would like to hear from parents who have had the same situation (co-sleeping to independant sleeping) what they did and how they did it.
Again, I will add some more info based on some of the answers I have been given.

I DO love this child as much as anyone could. I do love her as my own, except, yes, I am knowledgeable to the fact that she is not.

Also, I would like to point out, that yes, I think it is ok, EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE for her to sleep with us. I, like I said, did not grow up this way, and this just doesn't seem right to me. What I am asking is: how can I bring up this subject to my BF, and how we can her her transition.

We HAVE tried to get her to sleep in her own bed, and of course this has been without success.

Is anyone else tired of the nerd trend?

What I mean is I think it's lame that there's this idea in society that it's cool to be lame and mediocre. I find it weird that grown people refer to themselves as "nerds" because they like technology, current video games, or the NES or older video games. I'm thinking,"High school is over. How about loving yourself enough and just saying you're a person instead of labeling yourself?" For instance, I like the NES, but I also not it's not the best thing ever and I don't think I'm nerdy for liking it. I'm just a human being with interests.

Also, Micheal Cera is pushed as being one of these "nerds." Again, this guy is like 25...if he was 16 and still trying to figure out life and what lies ahead of him, I could understand the nerd label. But as an adult, this self-induced self loathing just comes off as lame and very pathetic.

Then there's all the emo clothing like trendy box framed glasses, and sweaters with colors that don't go together, and dressing all emo/artsy that go along with this trend. It's all lame, and I think the big brains in Hollywood, fashion, and advertisement need to stop pushing and trying to scam us with the idea that being sub-standard is actually cool. You know what I think is cooler than being a "nerd?" Being yourself and not being afraid of it, so you don't put yourself in a group and label yourself.

I'm getting married in a few months as a matter of fact I've already booked the venue and sent off for the invitations but since I'm an aspiring fashion designer I was thinking of designing and making my own gown and also the bridesmaids dresses as well.
